What is a Dad?

Dad is just a title

Yet we find it so vital

To call a man this word

What if its not preferred?

See, theres a word that means a whole lot more

A word we seem to pass up and ignore

This word we call lots of people our age

People we believe are on the same page

But we dont think of the men who are wiser

Those we go to who become our advisor

A word we all know so well

Some may be afraid to tell

However, Im proud to call you

My FRIEND so true

Thanx for being there

Always showing you care

Even in times I dont deserve it

You still feel the need to commit

Yourself to being a friend to me

In turn, my friendship is a guarantee
